Upper Limb Study

This study is approved by the Institutional Review Board at the University of California San Francisco (IRB #22-38192).

Purpose

UCSF and Hanger Clinics are conducting a study to measure patient preferences to determine how different factors such as function usefulness and device control, device weight, durability/repair time, concentration/training, connection to body, and cost are important to you as a person with an upper limb loss/difference.

You will be asked to answer a series of online questions on your tablet or computer regarding your background, current prosthetic use, and preferences when choosing a prosthesis.

Eligibility: In order to participate, you must be 18 years old or older and have an upper limb loss/difference. You do not need to have or use a prosthetic. You will not be asked to undergo any procedures.

Estimated time to complete the online survey: 30-40 minutes

Compensation: Each patient will receive twenty-five dollars ($25) for completion of the survey.
